Hello, Jeanne Huff aka Scarlett Jones here. I posted my most recent “doing pennies” story and it’s a doozy — I took it international!
I want to invite all of you who visit this website and read about the act of “planting” heads-up pennies and then stepping back and watching and waiting — I would like to invite you to please go ahead and give it a try. Set out on a Saturday morning with a few shiny new pennies in pocket and go to the Farmer’s Market or a busy corner downtown.
It is so exciting when someone finds that penny and to see the happiness, however fleeting, cross his or her face, is exhilarating.
Many have written about or told me how many pennies they notice on the ground since hearing this story. And how they think of me and Bob when they see one. OK, I say, I am happy about that.
But I invite you to take the next step. Plant your pennies and see how many smiles grow. See how big your heart grows.
And send in your pictures!
Oh, you may miss a few at first. The first penny finder may catch you asleep at the wheel, er, the camera phone, I mean. But be patient and you will succeed in getting that photo, capturing that moment, that happy flutter of owning a pocket of good luck.
